Configuration 1 is a best-in-class VIVISUN annunciator with a full-face “ADS-B FAIL” legend and includes an illumination test pin and a connector plug. This solution meets the most basic requirements for pilot notification of an ADS-B Out failure.
Configuration 2 includes an internal Solid State Relay component, the illumination test pin and a connector plug. The normally closed drop-out relay will detect the loss of a discrete signal from the transponder or position hardware. This solution eliminates the need for an external relay.
Configuration 3 includes an internal ARINC 429 Signal Converter component, the illumination test pin and a connector plug. The ARINC 429 converter is configured to the label and bit requirements of the Collins Aerospace TDR-94D transponder. This solution eliminates the need for an external signal converter box.
